Visitors to Tanzania often visit three or more locations on a single safari, typically two game parks and a beach locale. Please contact us for costings.
'Beach and Bush' A beach and bush safari mightb typically involve a safari in Tanzania's famous northern parks, followed by a few days on Zanzibar or Mafia.
Increasingly popular is Tanzania's 'Southern Circuit' of the Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park, Mikumi National park and Mafia-Zanzibar. This is a fabulous two- or three-week itinerary that offers a full experience of Tanzania's best attractions.

A Natural History tour combining Mafia and Zanzibar
1st Day: Arrival in Zanzibar - transfer to overnight in hotel in town (Serena, Tembo, Mbweni)
2nd Day: Departure at 0700 hrs for connection flight to Selous, - Rufiji River Camp - for a 3-day River and boat Safari. The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest and least exploited wildlife reserves in the world, covering 55 thousand square kilometers - it covers an area as large as Denmark, yet has less than two thousands visitors a year. Rufiji River Camp, situated on the edge of the mighty Rufiji River that meanders its way through untouched wilderness of the Selous Game Reserve. Offers an adventure in Comfort.
5th Day: Depart Selous to fly to Mafia Island - Kinasi Lodge - where it is a home away from home and relax or visit the ruins in Chole Bay, do the nature trails, bird-watching and visit other smaller islands nearby - Such as Jibondo etc.,
4th - 9th Day Inclusive: Relax at leisure in Kinasi; diving and snorkelling, as well as picnics and excursions
10th day: Flight from Mafia to Zanzibar: Met by Monarch Travel Services for Transfer to the hotel in town for a two night stay
11th - Depart at 0900 hrs for City and Spice tours: Where you visit the historical places in town, the amazing stone town - (whereby it was build by corals by slaves) and its numerous alleys, see the hanging balconies - a lot of influence of the Portuguese, Arabs, Indians, - the famous Zanzibarian doors - and their beautiful carvings
1300 -1430 - Break for lunch
1500 hrs - Depart to the spice plantations farm, which you will visit the Persian Baths (Sultan harem) and proceed to the Spice Plantation Farm. Zanzibar is famous as the Spice Islands - Going through the plantations where you see all these various spices, and their uses varies, from medical, cookery, beauty treatment, among others.
1730hrs - Transfer back to the hotel in Town.
12th Day:1000 hrs - Departure from the hotel to the East Coast for the last three days in relaxation at the splendid beaches of Zanzibar for a period of two days.
15th Day: Transfer from the hotel to the airport for connection flight back home.
