Scenic Flights
Kinasi has two light aircraft, a Cessna 206 (six-seater) and a Cessna 182 (four-seater). These aircraft pioneered scheduled flights to Mafia after the collapse in the early 1990s of Air Tanzania's scheduled Twin-Otter flights. Throughout the chequered history of scheduled flights to Mafia Kinasi has continued to operate its two aircraft to ensure guests can reach Mafia and leave to connect with onward flights at their convenience.
Now we are able to offer scenic flights over Mafia for those interested in seeing this beautiful and diverse island, the Rufiji Delta and its islets from the air. The full flight takes approximately 45 minutes. The flight can only be conducted if the aircraft is in Mafia, so book ahead if you are interested.
For the keen photographer or videographer we can remove one of the doors for clear filming. Our pilots have flown many surveys and air photo sessions so we are quite used to this kind of flight. We have done work for agricultural planning, cyclone damage, wildlife counts, advertising companies and film companies.
